Knowing how to swim is one of those life skills everyone is assumed to know as soon as they hit adulthood. However, not all adults know how to swim. Whether it’s because they had a traumatic experience as a child, or simply because there were no opportunities to learn growing up, the good news is that it’s never too late to learn.

Waterworks Aquatics offers adult lessons to beginners to help them conquer their fear of the water, or even to triathletes looking to improve their technique.

The facility’s trained instructors guide students through basic skills, and lessons are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. It doesn’t matter if you have zero swimming ability, or if all you know is to float, all that matters is your willingness to learn.

Understandably, many adults are not comfortable learning how to swim in public, which is why adult swimming lessons at Waterworks Aquatics are private and are scheduled according to instructor availability.

For those who already know how to swim but are looking to improve their technique, Waterworks Aquatics also offers a stroke clinic where students, both young and old, have the opportunity to strengthen their technical foundation. The stroke clinic emphasizes on technique over speed, with speed coming after technique is mastered.

In other words, if the technique is there, the speed will come.

Whether you are a budding triathlete, or just a regular adult looking to add swimming to your list of life skills, Waterworks Aquatics is where you want to be. With 2 indoor heated pools, you can be sure that there will always be enough space for you and your family to swim, learn, and have fun comfortably and safely.

Waterworks Aquatics is located at 2290 East Foothill Blvd., and is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
