All Saints Church to Host ‘Get Out The Vote’ Forum With Rev. Gary Hall

All Saints Church in Pasadena will host a “Get Out The Vote” forum on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.

The event, part of the church’s Education & Formation, Events, and Peace and Justice Ministries, will feature the Very Rev. Gary Hall, a prominent figure known for his political activism and religious leadership.

Rev. Hall, a former All Saints Church staffer who currently serves as the Interim Dean of Bloy House, the Episcopal theology school in Los Angeles, is a retired Dean of the Washington National Cathedral. He is no stranger to political activism and brings a wealth of experience in liberal causes and institutional leadership within the Episcopal Church to the forum.

The initiative aims to encourage and support community members in their efforts to vote and engage in the political life of the country, echoing the sentiments of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.

“It is a Christian obligation to vote, and more than that, it is the church’s responsibility to help get souls to the polls,” Bishop Curry said.

Participating in the country’s political life requires working together so that everyone can vote and vote faithfully.

The forum reflects a broader movement within the Episcopal community and other religious groups to promote civic engagement and uphold the democratic process by getting “souls to the polls.”
