Alleged Pasadena Gang Member Arrested in Multi-City Raid

In a coordinated takedown, Pasadena’s Street Crime Unit, alongside the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, culminated a months-long investigation with a multi-location raid on Thursday that resulted in the arrest of an alleged local gang member.

Jerry Wimbley, a 21-year-old man from Inglewood who police said is a member of a Pasadena gang, was arrested for selling illegal firearms, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.

The executed search warrant was part of an investigation that began in December 2023 when the Pasadena Street Crime Unit detectives opened an investigation into Wimbley.

The investigation reportedly included several surveillance operations and multiple search warrants that allegedly revealed how Wimbley negotiated with fellow gang members to sell firearms, including various handguns, AK-47 assault rifles, and Glock handguns allegedly modified to fire at a fully automatic rate.

During the search of Wimbley’s Inglewood address, detectives recovered two fully loaded Military Armament Corporation “Mac-10″ style handguns, one loaded .38 caliber revolver, one 9mm Springfield XD handgun, and ammunition, Campeau said.

Wimbley was arrested for engaging in the illegal sale of firearms and other various weapon violations, according to Campeau.
