Apparent Domestic Violence Incident Nets Officers an Illegal Firearm

Published on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 | 10:27 am

Pasadena Police officers arrested a 27-year-old Altadena man and a 32-year-old woman from Los Angeles after they allegedly found a loaded handgun on one of them along with a number of phony or stolen ID cards on both Monday morning.

The officers thought at first the report was a domestic violence incident when they responded to a call about a man pushing a woman at a bus stop in Pasadena.

When officers saw two people at the bus stop that matched the description, the officers searched them for possible weapons.

“During a pat-down search, officers recovered a loaded firearm from one of the suspects,” Police Lt. Pete Hettema said. “Both suspects were also in possession of instruments of identity theft – multiple, multiple phony IDs or stolen IDs on their persons. The suspects were arrested for identity theft.”

Hettema said the man was identified as Paul Martin, and the woman was identified as Semeramis Galvez.

Both were booked at the City jail, Hettema said.
