Students from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena earned 18 awards in the prestigious Core 77 Design Awards competition for 2021.
The competition’s sponsor, Core 77, is a publication that has served a global audience of industrial designers, ranging from students through seasoned professionals, since 1995.
The Core77 Design Awards recognizes excellence in all areas of design enterprise, and annually celebrates the richness of the design profession as well as the insight and perseverance of practitioners.
Among the more than 200 designs honored by the Core 77 Design Awards jury teams this year, 16 were designed by ArtCenter students and recognized as winners, notables or runners-up.
“We’re incredibly proud of our students,” said ArtCenter Provost Karen Hofmann. “This high-profile recognition from leaders in the design field is a tribute to the exemplary talent and dedication of our community of students, faculty and support staff.”
Hoffman added the awards are a validation for innovative work that the ArtCenter community continues to create to make “reality-based solutions with potential to positively impact lives.”
