ArtNight to Go On as Scheduled

According to a statement received by Pasadena Now, ArtNight will proceed this weekend as scheduled.

“We understand you may have questions about how the City is preparing for ArtNight amid residents’ Coronavirus concerns. As of today, we are continuing with ArtNight as planned. We will provide hand sanitizer to guests and staff, where possible, and we have requested venue operators to be visible in public areas of gathering to make sure the property is being sanitized regularly and soap and paper towels are readily available in restrooms,” the statement reads.

There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pasadena; however, the City of Pasadena’s health officer declared a Local Public Health Emergency to mobilize City resources and ensure Pasadena is prepared in the event COVID-19 appears in our community.

From 6 to 10 p.m. participants can enjoy a free evening of art, music and entertainment as 20 of Pasadena’s most prominent arts and cultural institutions swing open their doors.

Last year, more than 28,000 people participated in the event. The event is presented by the City of Pasadena’s Arts & Culture Commission.

Participants will use complimentary shuttles to transport visitors around to different venues. Begin your evening at any one of the venues on the shuttle route and make your way around until your back at your starting point.

Event organizers are asking people who are sick not to attend from attending events and caution older adults and people with chronic medical conditions at higher risk for severe illness to stay away from crowds.
