As California moves to fully reopen the economy this week to return to pre-pandemic health conditions, the Pasadena Public Health Department will continue daily vaccination clinics, with three clinics scheduled on Monday, June 15.

However, people who have not been vaccinated may still find themselves restricted, guidance issued Wednesday by the California Department of Public Health indicated – a hint that it would be for everyone’s benefit to get their shots.

The guidance said beginning Monday, fully-vaccinated people will be able to resume everyday activities without wearing a mask. Masks will be required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses, which include retail stores, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings, state and local government offices serving the public.

In places where masks are required only for unvaccinated individuals, businesses, venue operators or hosts may choose to notify all patrons, guests and attendees about vaccination requirements, and allow vaccinated individuals to self-attest that they are in compliance prior to entry. They may also verify the vaccination status of individuals to determine if they are required to wear a mask.

Hosts may also require all patrons to wear masks. On the other band, no person can be prevented from wearing a mask as a condition of participation in an activity or entry into a business.

To encourage unvaccinated persons to get their shots, the state will provide

California’s vaccine incentive program offers a chance at winning $50,000 or a grand prize of $1.5 million for those already vaccinated or about to be vaccinated. That means if you’ve not been vaccinated, this is the best time to get vaccinated as soon as possible to be eligible for these cash prizes, plus a $50 incentive card.

Everyone who’s vaccinated can get a free taco at Taco Bell, Chipotle queso blanco, and special deals on merchandise from the LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and the Team LA Store at STAPLES Center.

In Pasadena on Monday, second-dose Moderna shots will be provided at the Villa Parke Community Center at 363 E. Villa Street from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Blair High School at 1201 S. Marengo Avenue will be open for the second-dose Pfizer vaccine. And from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., PPHD’s second floor Immunization Clinic will provide the Moderna vaccine to community members. The PPHD is at 1845 N. Fair Oaks Avenue.

On Tuesday, June 16, a vaccination clinic will open from 8 to 10 a.m. at Madison Elementary School, 515 E. Ashtabula Street. The Moderna vaccine will be provided on site to eligible community members.

First AME Church, at 1700 N. Raymond Avenue, will host a drive-thru vaccine clinic from 3:30 to 5 p.m., with the PPHD providing Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer vaccines.

From 6 to 7 p.m., vaccinations will be at the PPHD at 1845 N Fair Oaks Avenue; at the second floor Immunization Clinic, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be provided to eligible community members.
