Hundreds attended an at-times emotional Pasadena City Council meeting Monday during which the Council unanimously approved a declaration establishing the City’s official position on the conflict in the Middle East.
Over 200 spoke in turns during the public comment portion in front of a packed house at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Some in the audience demanded the language included a call for a cease-fire, the release of all hostages, condemn war and urge peace.
“I think this language makes clear we are pursuing peace and we are asking our federal legislators and president to work towards a peaceful resolution in the Middle East,” Mayor Victor Gordo said.
