A man on a bicycle was wounded by a gunman near a Pasadena intersection.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was riding his bicycle about 1 a.m. in the area of Painter St. and Summit Ave. when he was approached by at least one suspect on foot.
Pasadena police Sgt. Victor Alaniz said the victim was confronted and the suspect “asked him if he was from a gang.”
When he said he wasn’t, the suspect shot him, Alaniz said.
The victim was wounded in his lower extremities, said Lt.  Kelly Evans.
Paramedics rushed the shooting victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, Evans said. There was no suspect description.
