“Put simply, we needed the extra space to continue to hire great people,” said Shane Garoutte, GM & Vice President, Technology Operations at Everbridge, which is moving from Glendale to the entire floor of a North Lake Avenue office building in Pasadena over the coming weeks.

Everbridge is a global enterprise software company founded in 2002 that provides applications which automate the delivery of critical information to help keep people safe and businesses operating.

Over 2,700 global customers rely on Everbridge’s Software as Service (SaaS) platform during critical events to quickly and reliably deliver notifications to millions of people at one time.

In 2015 alone Everbridge sent 1 billion messages worldwide and experienced a fifty percent employee growth, prompting an upgrade move from the Glendale office.

“The 14,000 square feet was not cutting it for Everbridge’s growing team and we sought a larger, more open and collaborative space to not only support our existing team, but also attract the world class talent we need to continue to lead the market in critical communications,” explained Garoutte.

The new office on 155 North Lake Ave is quite the upgrade to say the least. The 20,000 square foot office includes was built in the last five years and includes an entire floor.

It features high end glassed-in core offices and conference rooms, open seating areas around a high windowed perimeter, modern A/V and conferencing equipment, a new segregated Network Operations Center and plenty of break rooms and open space.

“It’s perfect for a growing technology business like Everbridge that requires space for collaboration. We also like Pasadena as it continues to emerge as a destination for technology businesses, and this office is close to amenities on South Lake Ave, and less than a mile to Old Towne Pasadena,” said Garoutte.

Everbridge has a strong presence in SoCal, according to Garoutte, with a handful of customers across local government, higher education, corporate and healthcare.

Customers include Los Angeles Police Department, City of Torrance, Ventura County, Tulare County, Santa Barbara County, California Institute of Technology, Molina Healthcare, East West Bank, Oakwood Worldwide and many more.

The company move has already sparked the attention of the Pasadena city government which is currently in the process of evaluating Everbridge’s platform for future use according to Pasadena Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Tracey Ibarra.

The city of Pasadena currently uses a variety of platforms to disseminate urgent public information such as Nixle, Reverse 911 and Twitter.

It’s no secret that tech companies are slowly but surely dropping the anchor and setting up shop in Pasadena. With renowned institutions like JPL and Caltech in city limits, companies like Everbridge want to be at the front of the line in recruiting top talent who want to work in the area.

“As a quickly growing SaaS company, we also believe we differentiate ourselves from other technology companies in Pasadena. We will continue to hire aggressively in all markets,” said Garoutte.

Over 100 new hires are ready to call Pasadena their west coast home.

Everbridge is based in Boston and Los Angeles with additional offices in San Francisco, Beijing and London with over 400 employees worldwide. For more information, visitwww.everbridge.com, read the company blog at www.everbridge.com/blog, and follow on Twitter and Facebook.
