Bunny World Foundation, Inc. was surprised with a $5,000 check from Petco Love during a celebration at Petco in Pasadena today, all thanks to a story submitted by local resident Hannah Manikowski in the Petco Love Stories campaign.
Hannah’s heartwarming story of how her adopted rabbit changed her life was selected as one of 100 Love Stories winners from across the country this year. Now Bunny World Foundation, Inc. can earn up to an additional $25,000, but they need the community’s support. From now through Dec. 15, noon CST, the public can vote for Bunny World Foundation, Inc. winning story in the People’s Choice competition at petcolove.org/lovestories.
“Partnering with Petco Love and being a recipient of their grant means access to necessary medical treatments for hundreds of rabbits Bunny World Foundation (BWF) rescues from Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) each year. In addition, the grant facilitates BWF’s management of a complex Foster Program, which accommodates over 1,000 new rescues each year and provides for their intensive care, complex surgeries, medication, supplies, and spay/neuter funds. Petco Love ensures that the rabbits under our care are healthy and placed in safe and loving forever homes,” said Lejla Hadzimuratovic, Founder & President at Bunny World Foundation. “Now you can help us save even more pet lives by voting for our story in the People’s Choice competition.”
