The Caltech women’s tennis team has moved up a position to rank No. 13 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division III Women’s Tennis Regional Ranking.

West Region Rankings

The Beavers have not been in action since the last rankings were published on Mar. 31 thanks to a forfeit by Whittier College and two rainouts against national No. 5 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and West No. 12 University of La Verne.

Caltech has posted a 6-1 record against unranked NCAA opponents this season, as well as a 5-4 record in regional competition, with all but one of those defeats coming at the hands of nationally ranked foes.  Caltech’s best-ever regional ranking came at the conclusion of the 2014 season, with the Beavers holding the No. 11 position.

Head Coach Mandy Gamble and the Beavers head to West No. 18 Chapman University (1-12, 1-3) tomorrow, Friday, Apr. 15 at 2:00 p.m. and host SCIAC-leading national No. 19 University of Redlands (13-5, 5-0) on Saturday, Apr. 16 at 10:00 a.m.
