Calvary Presbyterian Church: Lenten Calendar Thursday April 5th – Sunday April 8th

Calvary Presbyterian Church Lenten week celebration starts on Maundy Thursday worship and communion service which will be held at 7 p.m. On Good Friday an Ecumenical service will be observed at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Easter Sunday begins with blossoming of the cross. A wooden cross will be placed on the front lawn of Calvary this next week. On Easter Sunday, we will cover the cross with blossoms to signify the empty tomb and our new life in the resurrection. Please join in the “blossoming of the cross” by bringing cut flowers and placing them on the cross before worship next Sunday morning.

Then at 9:50 a.m. brass and organ will provide festive music. The worship service begins at 10 a.m. Plan to come early! There will be no Sunday School, but child care is available for those 3 and under. Children attending the service will be provided with a bag full of Easter activities and the bag will also double as a “basket” for the Easter egg hunt to be held in the patio area during coffee hour (children through 6th grade).
