Cancer Support Community’s (CSC) Board of Directors announced Tuesday that the organization has received a $250,000 challenge match to assist in successfully closing CSC’s capital “Be the Key” campaign.
The organization has $450,000 remaining to raise to reach its $3,750,000 fundraising goal.
The funds raised are being used to purchase and renovate its new permanent facility in Sierra Madre.
The challenge initiative will match dollar-for-dollar all donations from new and existing supporters. The match enables donors to double the impact of their contributions.
“Construction continues on the interior renovations of our new facility in Sierra Madre,” says Brad Talt, CSC’s Board President, “and we will be opening our doors soon, thanks to the tremendous gifts we have received from our supporters. We’re grateful for this challenge match because it encourages new donors to join with us and existing donors to deepen their support for our critically important work – providing programs free of charge to anyone impacted by cancer.”
Cancer Support Community provides free support groups, educational workshops, and healthy lifestyle classes to cancer patients and their families, cancer survivors, and those bereaved in the greater San Gabriel Valley. Services are available in English, Spanish, and Armenian.
