Planning Director David Reyes will host a zoom seminar at 6 p.m. on Nov. 16 with Vice Mayor Andy Wilson and city staff to present the next draft and receive community input on the Central District Specific Plan.
The Central District includes Old Pasadena and the playhouse and some residential areas.
Along with Central District, Lincoln Avenue, East Colorado Boulevard, East Pasadena, Fair Oaks/Orange Grove, Lamanda Park, North Lake Avenue, and South Fair Oaks Avenue all have specific plans that specify actions to be taken to recreate the respective corridors that better serve surrounding neighborhoods and create an attractive gateway into Pasadena.
These plans are intended to be consistent with General Plan goals and policies.
The city is updating all eight of its specific plans as part of the 2018 Our Pasadena program, launched as a step toward the implementation of the city’s General Plan, which guides overall future growth and development.
A specific plan is a document designed to implement the goals and policies of the General Plan. Existing specific plans have been prepared for the eight areas identified below.
Residents are encouraged to review the Central District Specific Plan before the meeting or listen to the June 22nd Design Commission presentation (both linked below). Comments or questions may be submitted before or during the meeting. Specific areas of focus will include South Arroyo Parkway and South Lake Avenue within the Central District.
