City Hall, Many City Services Closed Today and Next Monday

City Hall and multiple city services in Pasadena will be closed on Monday, February 13 and then again on Monday, February 20 in observance of Lincoln’s and Washington’s Birthdays.

The Citizen Service Center (CSC) will only be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, February 13 and will remain closed on Monday, February 20, reopening on Tuesday, February 21 at 8 a.m. Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will proceed as scheduled on both holidays.

Residents and businesses with power emergencies should call Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) at (626) 744-4673, while those with water-related emergencies should call (626) 744-4138. PWP’s Customer Service Call Center will be closed on both holidays, but customers can access their accounts and make payments through the automated phone system at (626) 744-4005 or online at PWPWeb.com.

The Municipal Services Payment Center and Parking Office will also be closed on both holidays. All parking meters will be free, but parking time limits will not be enforced. However, violations for overnight parking restrictions, red curb parking, and blocking fire hydrants will still be issued. Parking meter enforcement will resume on Tuesday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 21. Pasadena Transit and Dial-A-Ride buses will operate on their regular schedules.

The Permit Center will be closed on both holidays, but some services will be available online, where subtrade permits can be obtained and plans for commercial tenant improvements and accessory dwelling units can be submitted. In-person operations will resume on Tuesday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 21.

All Pasadena Public Library branch sites will be closed on Sunday and Monday, February 12 and 13 and Sunday and Monday, February 19 and 20. They will reopen on Tuesday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 21, respectively.

Parks will be open for picnics and recreation, but no site reservations will be accepted for the holidays. Community and recreation centers will be closed to the public on Monday, February 13 and Monday, February 20.

The Pasadena Public Health Department’s COVID-19, mumps, and flu vaccine clinic will be closed on Monday, February 13 and Monday, February 20. The next vaccine clinic is scheduled for Monday, February 27.

City Council will not meet on Monday, February 13 and Monday, February 20, and the next council meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 27.

The Pasadena Fire and Police Departments will continue to provide patrol, jail, fire, paramedic, and other emergency services during the holidays. For life-threatening emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity to the police department at (626) 744-4241.
