City Issues Public Health Protocols for Retail Businesses

The city issued retail guidelines on Thursday detailing guidance for local retail outlets.

According to those guidelines one individual must be in charge of planning and implementation, all Public Health Department protocols must be met. Copies of the protocols must be provided to all employees, and finally a copy of those protocols must be posted.

“In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses must take steps to prepare and position themselves for a successful reopening,” according to the guide. “Reduce the risk of your business from becoming the site of an outbreak. Ensure employees are enrolled in health insurance and have an established relationship with a primary care doctor prior to reopening. Depending on the situation, public notification of an exposure to COVID-19 may be required. Employees can\ call 211 for information on health insurance and primary care physicians.
