City of Pasadena Announces Memorial Day Closures

Pasadena residents and businesses are reminded that City Hall and many City services and administrative business offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day, a national day of remembrance for the brave men and women of the U.S. military who died in the line of duty. Specific closures and exceptions are noted below.

Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services, but not business or administrative offices. If you see something, say something; report suspicious activity to Pasadena Police at (626) 744-4241. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
City Council will not meet on Monday, May 31. The next Council meeting will be held June 7<http://ww2.cityofpasadena.net/councilagendas/council_agenda.asp>.

The City’s Citizen Service Center<https://www.cityofpasadena.net/citizen-service-center/> (CSC) will be closed on Monday, May 31, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1.

The City of Pasadena will have trash collection on Monday, May 31. There will be no delay to trash, recycling and yard Waste collection.

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) will be closed on Monday, May 31. Residents and businesses with any power emergencies should call the Power Emergency Line at (626) 744-4673. For water-related emergencies, call the Water Emergency Line at (626) 744-4138. PWP’s regular Customer Call Center will be closed for the holiday, but customers can access their accounts and pay bills online at www.PWPweb.com<https://ww5.cityofpasadena.net/water-and-power/> or by calling (626) 744-4005.

The Permit Center will be closed on Monday, May 31, but will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1. Online permitting services are available 24/7 at www.cityofpasadena.net/PermitCenterOnline<http://www.cityofpasadena.net/PermitCenterOnline>.

The City’s Municipal Services Payment Center at City Hall and the Parking Office<https://www.cityofpasadena.net/transportation/parking-services/> will be closed on Monday, May 31. All parking meters not posted as a “No Parking” zone will be free on May 31, and time limits will not be enforced. Violations for overnight parking, red curb parking, “No Parking” zones, and blocking fire hydrants will be enforced. All regular enforcement resumes Tuesday, June 1.

Pasadena Transit bus service and Dial-A-Ride transportation will NOT operate on Monday, May 31, and will resume regular service Tuesday, June 1.

All Pasadena Public Libraries will be closed on Sunday, May 30, and Monday, May 31, with in-person and curbside service resuming Tuesday, June 1.
