City of Pasadena Prepares for Veterans Day, Announces Closures

Pasadena City Hall and various administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, as the city pays tribute to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

A special Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will remain operational for patrol, jail, fire, paramedic, and other emergency services. However, administrative offices will be closed. If you come across any suspicious activity, report it to Pasadena Police by calling (626) 744-4241. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 9-1-1.

For power emergencies, Pasadena residents and businesses should contact Pasadena Water and Power at (626) 744-4673. Water-related emergencies can be reported at (626) 744-4138.

While PWP’s Customer Service Call Center will be closed for the holiday, customers can access their accounts and make payments by phone at (626) 744-4005 or online at www.PWPweb.com.

The City’s Citizen Service Center (CSC) will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, and will resume normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 13. The Service Center can be reached online or by calling (626) 744-7311.

Residents with city trash and recycling service will have their regular pickup schedule on Nov. 10, including any previously scheduled pickups for bulky items.

Pasadena Transit and Pasadena Dial-A-Ride services will maintain their usual schedules. Parking meters will be free, and parking time limits will not be enforced on the day; however, violations for overnight parking, red curb parking, “No Parking” zones, blocking fire hydrants, and all other parking restrictions will be enforced starting Saturday, Nov. 11.

All Pasadena Public Library sites will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, with regular operating hours resuming on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Parks across Pasadena will remain open for picnics, recreational activities, and play. Note that no site reservations will be accepted on the holiday.
