Cold Monday With Afternoon Rain Kicks Off Wet Week – But Sunny New Year’s Day Still Predicted

A wet and unsettled weather pattern will continue in Pasadena through the week with temperatures remaining significantly below average for this time of year, but forecasters predict sunny skies for the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.

New Year’s Eve will be chilly, about 38, and a slight chance of rain is forecast, according to the National Weather service.

Meanwhile, the short workweek is expected to see a patchwork of rain (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) with some sunny days (Tuesday and Friday) sandwiched in.

Temperatures will remain chilly, with highs ranging from the upper 40’s to mid 50’s. Nighttime lows will drop to the upper 30’s and low 40’s.
