Community Bank to Ring in the New Year with Families of Naval Submariners Serving Aboard USS Pasadena

Families of the U.S. Navy sailors who serve aboard the USS Pasadena, a Los Angeles class attack submarine, sacrifice a lot throughout the year. The sailors on this

submarine leave their families behind for months at a time while they are out at sea. Their work on board does not stop for the holidays, which leaves the spouses and children missing their sailor during this season.

To help make the holidays a little brighter for these families, Community Bank is proud to be hosting them at the Rose Parade on January 2, 2017. A charter bus will bring the families to Pasadena where they will watch the parade in the bleachers in front of Fedde Furniture store at 2350 East Colorado Boulevard. They will be wrapped in their warm Community Bank blankets while they enjoy the magical Rose Parade.

Tom Baker, Chief Operating Officer of Community Bank said, “As a Navy veteran it is always hard to leave your family when on deployment and even harder for the family that is left back in port. It is doubly hard when deployment happens over the holidays. It is really a privilege to assist the families in being a part of the Rose Parade while the men aboard the submarine are at sea protecting our great nation.”

Community Bank is an independent and family-owned regional bank with assets of $3.5 billion and 17 locations throughout Southern California, founded in 1945.
