Cool, Cloudy Weekend Expected

A dry Friday with morning clouds that clear will segue into an unseasonably cold storm system brushing by the Pasadena area this weekend. The system will bring a chance of very light rain overnight Saturday into Sunday. 

Increasing cloud cover and onshore winds ahead of the storm will lead to cooling temperatures through the weekend.

Gusty west-to-northwest breezes will develop in the area as the front moves through. Sunday is shaping up to be an unusually cool day for May, with temperatures only reaching the 60s.

Looking ahead to next week, a warming and drying trend is expected to develop as high pressure builds back in over the region. Some low clouds may return to Pasadena by the middle of the week.

Today: Patchy fog before 11:00 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 73. South southwest wind around 5 mph.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 11:00 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 54. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southeast in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Breezy.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73.
