District 1 Councilmember Tyron Hampton kept Pasadena’s holiday season rolling along with a multi-stop Christmas celebration Sunday night, culminating in a festive celebration at Pasadena’s Gamble house.

“We’ve been through a lot. In the past two years, this is just a chance for everyone to get together again,” said Hampton.

The holiday celebration began at 5 PM at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Walworth Avenue, making its way to Tremont Street at El Cerrito Avenue, followed by a visit at Florecita Drive and Florecita Lane.

From there, caravans headed to Stanton Street and Casitas Avenue, then Westgate Street and Armada Drive, finally ending up at Pasadena‘s historic Gamble House.

At Gamble House, Hampton addressed the crowd and presented a gift card giveaway for five lucky guests who texted him the correct answer to his trivia question. (“Who was the star of the “Back to the Future” movie series”?)

Music was provided by a jazz trio, a gospel choir, and the Crown City Drum Squad.

Said Hampton of the celebration location, “Gamble House is such an iconic part of Pasadena, and I just wanted everyone to know that it’s their house. Just like the Rose Bowl is our stadium, the Gamble House is our house.”

The holiday event was one of several held and planned over the past week and through this week,  leading up to Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25.
