Pasadena Police officers arrested two people from Covina after they were allegedly caught in possession of a stolen vehicle Sunday evening a Sears store at 3801 E. Foothill Blvd.

Lt. Pete Hettema said aside from the stolen vehicle, the couple was arrested because they had stolen Sears goods in the car, and an undetermined amount of illegal drugs.

Hettema said they received a call from Sears security at about 6:30 p.m. asking them to check the couple after a security camera caught one of them allegedly taking items off a shelf near the store’s exit without paying for them.

“When we stopped the car, we found drugs on board and some stolen property from Sears,” Hettema said.

The responding officers arrested Jason Hansen, 38, and Ivana Signoriello, 23, both from Covina.

“It was a stolen car and so we had the car stopped and made two arrests in that case,” Hettema added. He described the car as a white sedan.

About the items stolen from the store, Hettema said he did not have a complete list but said they found methamphetamine and heroin in the vehicle.

“They were actually arrested for being in possession of a stolen car and the drugs,” Hettema said.
