Criminal Charges Filed in Christmas Day Homicide

�CRIMINAL CHARGES FILED IN CHRISTMAS DAY HOMICIDE�

PASADENA, Calif.—On December 25, 2012, shortly after 11:00 a.m., Pasadena Police Officers responded to Newport Avenue and Wyoming Street regarding 911 calls of gunfire in the area. �When police officers arrived they discovered two gunshot victims, Damion Taylor (Black male-24, identified gang member, Pasadena resident) and Victor J. McClinton (Black male-49, also of Pasadena).�

Pasadena Fire Department paramedics transported both victims to a local area hospital, but sadly Mr. McClinton did not survive and died as a result of his injuries. Damion Taylor was treated for serious injuries and released a few days later from the hospital. There was no connection between Mr. Taylor and Mr. McClinton, who was an innocent by-stander.�

Pasadena Police Detectives have been actively working the investigation since December 25. Lead Investigator Keith Gomez and the Homicide/Assault Unit arrested known gang member Larry D. Bishop (Black male-20 of Chino, CA) for homicide. Also arrested was Gary A. Davis (White male-20, Pasadena resident) for Accessory After the Fact. On January 2, 2013, Detective Keith Gomez presented the criminal investigation to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office who filed the following charges:�

PC 187(a), Murder�

PC 664-187 Attempt Murder�

PC 246 (2 counts) Shooting at Inhabited Dwelling�

PC 29800(a)(1) Felon in Possession of Firearm�

PC 186.22(b)(1)(A) Gang Enhancement�

Gary Davis�

PC 32 Accessory After the Fact�

Larry Bishop remains in custody without bail. Gary Davis remains in custody with bail set at $1,000,000.00. �Both suspects are scheduled for arraignment today (Jan. 2).�

This outcome is the result of many days of hard work by Pasadena Police Detectives and other law enforcement entities, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department.”, stated Police Chief Phillip L.
