A Denver newspaper listed some of the items stolen from the University of Colorado locker room at the Rose Bowl on Oct. 28.
According to an article appearing in the Denver Post, four football players were identified as victims, and the stolen items included three “diamond-plated” necklaces with medallions bearing the players’ initials, a pair of headphones and miscellaneous football equipment, according to a police report.
The value of those items remains unknown.
However, the incident was classified as a “grand theft,” meaning the stolen items were worth more than $950.
Last week, the Pasadena Police Department confirmed several stolen items were returned to the players.
At that time, police said the suspects in the case are juveniles, and City spokesperson Lisa Derderian said in a statement that additional items of interest have been identified and are actively being pursued.
The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with UCLA, which separately confirmed it is in communication with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials, and the University of Colorado on the matter.
On Friday Derderian said that search warrants have been executed and additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.
The Pasadena Police Department expressed gratitude to those who reported leads to their tip line, stating that the information and support are invaluable and play a crucial role in ensuring safety and security in the community.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
