District 5 County Supervisor Barger Hosts “Tribute to Veterans and Military Families” Event Saturday

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, who represents Pasadena, will host the 26th Annual “Tribute to Veterans and Military Families” event on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Arcadia County Park. 

The free community event, held on Memorial Day weekend, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Supervisor Barger will be joined by U.S. Congresswomen Judy Chu (who also represents Pasadena) and Grace Napolitano, California Assemblymember Mike Fong, California Veterans Board Chairman Hugh Crooks, and Arcadia Mayor and Councilmembers at the event.

The family-friendly tribute will offer resources, wellness programs, and access to veteran benefits. 

Attendees can expect to see military vehicles, equipment displays, and exhibitor booths. A commemoration for POW and MIA servicemembers will be held at 11:45 a.m.

Sponsors and organizers of the event include Supervisor Barger’s office, Military Veterans Affairs of Los Angeles County, VPAN (Veteran Peer Access Network), CALVET (California Department of Veterans Affairs), Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, and Athens Services.
