Early ‘June Gloom’ Brings Drizzle and Cool Temperatures to Pasadena

An early preview of June Gloom has arrived in the Los Angeles region this week, as a deep marine layer, onshore flow and an approaching weather system combine to keep skies cloudy and temperatures cool across the San Gabriel Valley.

Pasadena residents can expect cool and cloudy conditions throughout the week, with high temperatures several degrees below normal each day. Patchy fog and perhaps drizzle are likely, with a small chance of light rain on Thursday morning. Residents may need to use their windshield wipers during the morning commute.

Temperatures in Pasadena will be 6 to 12 degrees below normal today, with highs only reaching the 60s.

The rest of the week will see similar conditions, with limited afternoon clearing and temperatures remaining 5 to 10 degrees below normal.

The weekend forecast for Pasadena shows a trend towards warmer temperatures and clearer skies. Expect a gradual warming trend beginning on Friday, with temperatures reaching the 70s and lower 80s by Monday.
