Two men were arrested on drug and weapon charges after a traffic stop in Pasadena early Saturday morning, according to police.

A Pasadena police officer conducted a traffic stop for an alleged moving violation at approximately 1:01 a.m. on April 6th in the area of Raymond Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

Upon contacting the two men in the vehicle, the officer saw drugs in plain sight inside, Lieutenant Matt Campeau of the Pasadena Police Department said.

The officer detained the occupants and continued his investigation, Campeau said.

During the search, additional prescription drugs that reportedly did not belong to the occupants were found, and were allegedly packaged in a manner indicative of drug sales, according to Lt. Campeau.

Officers also reportedly recovered a stolen Glock Model 23 firearm during the vehicle search.

Both occupants, identified as Ken Haraguchi, a 33-year-old man from Lakewood and Ryan Broaster, a 36-year-old Los Angeles man, were arrested on suspicion of narcotics and weapon violations, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and will be handled by the department’s narcotic team, Lt. Campeau added. The value of the prescription drugs and their origin remain undisclosed at this time.
