Local firm Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., will provided project management services for an Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. refinery project, it was announced on June 14.
The monetary value of the contract was not announced by company officials.
Jacobs said it will consult on an installation of a delayed coker unit (DCU) at the Indian Oil Paradip refinery in the state of Orissa. The expected installation cost for a DCU is $350 million.
“We are delighted to continue working with IOCL to ensure that its facilities continue to meet customers’ expectations for high-quality products,†Jacobs Group Vice President Chris Nagel said about the announcement in a released statement.
Under the terms of the deal, Jacobs will perform front-end engineering and design services at the Paradip facility. The Pasadena-based engineering firm said they will also supervise the resulting lump sum turnkey contractors whose work includes the installation of the DCU.
Indian Oil Corporation is the largest Indian company by sales.
