Pasadena police officers were searching for three women in their 20’s who they said had assaulted another young woman of about the same age Saturday night in the 800 block of Brooks Avenue in Pasadena.
The victim was struck with an 18-inch baseball bat and complained of pain in her back and redness in the face, says Lt. John Mercado, Watch Commander.
Mercado said the trouble began at about 11:05 p.m. with an argument about boyfriend.
“The victim was confronted by her current boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, who was one of the suspects,” Mercado said. “She was struck with the bat in the head and body. The suspect also vandalized the victim’s car hitting it with the bat, breaking windows… and fled prior to our arrival.”
Mercado said officers checked the victim’s condition when they arrived on scene. The victim did not require hospitalization, he said.
The three suspects, described only as three young black women, remain at large. Anyone with information about them is advised to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4501.
