A 35-year-old local woman was arrested Friday morning after she attacked her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend while they were sitting in a parked car, police said.
The incident occurred at about 7:00 a.m. in the 700 block of Cypress Street. Pasadena police Lt. Rudy Lemos said the suspect, identified as Lucy Bermudee, approached the car and began striking driver’s side window with a tire iron, shattering the window and hitting the man on his upper right arm as he defended himself.
The man got out of the car and disarmed Bermudee, taking away the tire iron. Bermudee then began punching and kicking the man, Lemos said.
Police arrived and arrested Bermudee. She was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and felony domestic battery.
Neither the man and his girlfriend was seriously injured.
Bermudee is a Pasadena resident and is the former girlfriend of the victim, a 33-year-old Pasadena man. She was held in the Pasadena Jail.
