First Winter Storm of the Season Forecast to Douse Pasadena Sunday Night and Monday

All eyes are on the first significant winter storm of the season, expected to bring rain to town tonight and rain and possibly thunderstorms throughout Monday. It could be the most moisture dumped on Pasadena since early April, National Weather Forecasters said.

Sunday night faces an 80% chance of precipitation, according to the NWS.

Rain is also likely before 11 a.m. on Monday, then more and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Showers could continue past 5 p.m.

Dry and slightly warmer conditions can be expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 65. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: Rain after 11pm. Low around 48. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Monday: Rain before 11am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 11am and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. High near 56. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 41. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 61. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 64.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
