Forecasters: Chance of Rain But Mostly Sunny Today

The National Weather Service this morning said the weather on Saturday will be all over the place.

The NWS forecast predicts a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms on a day that will also be mostly sunny with a high near 68.

Quoting the source: “Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly in Los Angeles again Saturday due to a slow moving upper low. Otherwise, pleasant weather expected with near normal temperatures.”

Fortunately, things settle down a bit for the rest of the weekend: “Dry and much warmer weather is expected Sunday through Tuesday, with highs reaching the lower 80s in warmer valleys.”

Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast after midnight.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the evening.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 80. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
