The continuing death toll from the coronavirus pandemic continued Friday with city officials announcing the largest-yet single-day deaths count, of four Pasadenans.
That grim record brought the total number of fatalities of local residents who have died from the disease to 20.
The city said as of Friday there are now 215 Pasadenans infected with laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
All of the dead were between ages 49 and 96 years of age, were associated with long-term care facilities (residents or employees), and had underlying health conditions, according to city spokesperson Lisa Derderian.
