Gunfight Erupts Outside Pasadena Liquor Store

A gun battle involving at least three shooters erupted outside a Pasadena liquor store on Wednesday night, but no injuries were reported in connection with the gunfire, police said.

The shootout took place about 10:25 p.m. just outside of A-1 Liquor & Jr. Market, 2040 N. Los Robles Ave., said Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess.

Two men walked out of the store and began shouting at two other men who had also just left the store and had gotten into a blue van, Burgess said.

Both men inside the van got out of the vehicle and opened fire, according to the lieutenant.

At least one of the other men pulled a weapon of his own and returned fire, he said.

The first two gunmen to open fire returned to their van and sped away, police said.

One of the other men fled on foot, while the other got into a white sedan and drove away, Burgess added.

Responding officers found bullet casings on the ground, but no signs of any victims or suspects.
