A gunman opened fire on a group of three other men sitting in a parked vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Pasadena on Thursday night, police said.
The three victims, described as Pasadena men in their 30s, were not injured in the shooting, which took place about 11:55 p.m. in the area of Garfield Avenue and Hammond Street, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said.
They were sitting in a parked car when another dark-colored vehicle passed alongside, Burgess said.
The driver and lone occupant of the passing vehicle, described only as male, fired a single shot from a handgun, he said. The bullet struck the victims’ car.
Police said the shooter was last seen speeding away west along Hammond Street. No further description was available Friday morning.
Investigators canvassed the neighborhood for clues, including looking for any surveillance camera footage that may have captured images of the shooter, Burgess said.
