Although he ran unopposed, Tyron Hampton told Pasadena Now on Tuesday that he was grateful to continue representing his constituents.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to represent the community where I was born and raised, a place that holds a special place in my heart,” Hampton told Pasadena Now.

“I am thankful to all my neighbors who have collaborated with me on issues close to their hearts. I am enthusiastic about building on the progress we have made over the years to make the First District the best place to live and to enhance the reputation of our beautiful Pasadena. Your needs and concerns will always be my top priorities, as it is the people who make this city truly remarkable, connecting us all as one big family. Thank you for entrusting me with this important work for another four years. I recognize that this endeavor would not be possible without the support of our community, my wife, family, field liaison, and city staff. I love all of you and I look forward to the work ahead.”

Hampton was first elected in 2015.
