Harabedian Heads Off Local Candidate Riddle in Assembly Race

In the closely watched race for California’s 41st Assembly District, preliminary results indicate a challenging battle for Pasadena candidate Phlunte Riddle. With a significant portion of votes counted, Riddle trails behind her competitors in a competitive field.

John Harabedian, a fellow Democrat, leads the race with 13,395 votes, capturing 34.59% of the total. Not far behind, Republican Michelle Del Rosario Martinez has secured 12,210 votes, accounting for 31.53%. Riddle, also a Democrat, has garnered 7,119 votes, placing her in third with 18.39% of the vote. Jed Leano, another Democrat, trails with 5,997 votes, or 15.49%.

The 41st District, known for its political engagement and diverse electorate, encompasses parts of Pasadena and surrounding areas. This race has drawn considerable attention due to its potential implications for the California State Assembly’s composition and the broader political landscape in the region.

Riddle’s campaign, focusing on key issues such as education, healthcare, and housing affordability, aimed to resonate with the District’s voters.
