Complete your day at the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts with a leisurely visit to on-site restaurants and bar. Choose from a sit down meal at The Wisteria Terrace Restaurant,a quick bite from Ivy Court or a drink at The Wisteria Terrace Restaurant Pub. TasteBuds Culinary, Inc. will be responsible for all the food and drinks at Showcase House for the fourth time in a row.

Co-owners, Natalia Ramirez and Melissa Corkern Davis, have owned TasteBuds for 11 years and thrive on the excitement of creating new menus and serving busy guests. When they’re not stationed at Showcase House, they are busy with weddings, productions, corporate events and parties.

“Each year it’s a bit of a different theme, we try to pull from the house and surrounding area,” said Ramirez.

Ramirez and Davis expect 400 guests to dine on weekdays and up to 800 on the weekends. Despite the large numbers, TasteBuds doesn’t cut corners. Ramirez explains that each item is made from scratch on-site, which is no small feat for a restaurant in a tent. This commitment to quality and affordability is one of the reasons that they have been repeat caterers at Showcase House. They’re bringing a menu of refreshed classics with a California grill theme.

“The hamburger is really what everyone looks forward to each year,” said Davis.

In addition to the famous hamburger with sharp cheddar cheese, guests can look forward to Citrus Chicken Breast with Grapefruit and Avocado Salsa, New York Steak with French Fries and White Truffle Sauce and Double Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake. There will also be a breakfast menu of freshly baked pastries, coffee and fruit.

“We’re busy during the day and barely get to catch each other,” said Ramirez. “At 2:30, we sit down to share a slice of coconut cake and catch up.”

Sip on themed cocktails like the Wisteria Breeze – made with English cucumbers, lemonade, mint and vodka – or a Badminton Bellini which features prosecco and peach puree. Both drinks are named in honor of features on the Showcase House property.

“The restaurant helps make [Showcase House] a full-day experience – you can stay and shop and enjoy the garden,” said Davis. “We even have people who come here just to dine,” added Ramirez.

The restaurants will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays and Tuesdays, and from
10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.Guests can revisit The Restaurant and Shops at Showcase without a ticket.
