A man and a teenager from La Puente were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday in Pasadena after responding to an online ad for Adidas Yeezy shoes, authorities said.
The victims met up with two suspects at a predetermined location near the intersection of Hammond and Sunset around 12:40 p.m., where they planned to buy the high-end tennis shoes.
According to Lieutenant Mark Goodman of the Pasadena Police Department, one of the suspects then pointed a handgun at the victims and demanded their money.
The victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man, complied, dropped the money they brought and fled unharmed, Goodman said.
The suspects are described as a black man and a black woman, according to Goodman. The man, who wielded the handgun, is about 25 years old, 6-62 with a goatee, while the female was about 20 years old, 55 and 120 pounds with a light complexion, reddish brown hair and glasses.
