High Heat Gone, Pasadena to See Sunny Week of Near-80’s

A strong upper ridge will gradually give way today and Monday leading to a big drop in temperatures this week, according to National Weather Service forecasters.

Low clouds and early morning fog are likely to return to the area later in the week, they said.

The clouds, trough and onshore flow will all conspire to knock 6 to 12 degrees off the daytime highs that have baked Pasadena over the past few days, the forecasters explained.

Today: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. South southeast wind around 5 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Wednesday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
