According to several media outlets, the Los Angeles Rams could be headed to the Rose Bowl, but they will only be practicing in the storied stadium.

Expected high winds in the region could force the team to move to Pasadena on Thursday, according to coach Sean McVay.

The Rams are preparing to meet the Cincinnati Begals in Sunday’s Super Bowl in Inglewood.

The Rams don’t have an indoor practice facility.

The last time the Rams appeared in the Rose Bowl they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1980.

“As a five-time home of the Super Bowl, the Rose Bowl Stadium is honored to host the Los Angeles Rams for a practice in advance of Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium,” said Rose Bowl General Manager Darryl Dunn.

Another round of powerful winds is expected to return to the area and remain through Thursday.

A wind warning in place yesterday said winds could reach up to 60 mph in some areas, including LA County.

The NWS has also issued an excessive heat watch for the Los Angeles County coastal region stretching into downtown, as well as the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys that will be in effect from Wednesday morning through Sunday afternoon.

Forecasters warned that “dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 90 degrees” are possible.

“Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” according to the NWS. “… Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.”
