Pasadena police officers are now searching for two men who robbed a homeless man as he was sleeping in Central Park early morning Sunday.
Police said the suspects in the strong-arm robbery took the 64-year-old victims wallet, money and cell phone before fleeing from the location at 275 S. Raymond Avenue.
The victim is homeless and was sleeping in Central Park when he awoke and felt a person holding him to the ground, Pasadena Police Lt. Mark Goodman said. While being held to the ground, a second person removed the victims wallet, cell phone, and money from his pants pockets. The suspects fled on foot subsequent to the robbery.
The robbery occurred at about 3:55 a.m.
Goodman said the mans vision was impaired so he was not able to provide a description of the suspects. The victim was not injured during the incident.
