A 56-year-old homeless man was assaulted by another vagrant during an ongoing dispute over a woman Sunday night, police said.
The suspect, who authorities estimate to be about 50 years old, is said to have struck the victim over the left side of his forehead with an unknown object during a fight that broke out just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Mentor Avenue and Perkins Alley, according to Lieutenant Mark Goodman of the Pasadena Police Department.
According to Goodman, the suspect immediately fled after hitting the victim and is still at large. The victim was not treated for his injuries.
