Huntington Hospital Opens New Cardiac Care Center

Huntington Hospital in Pasadena has opened its new “state of the art” Helen and Will Webster Heart & Vascular Center to help improve cardiac care for patients, the facility announced Monday.

The center is now “the most comprehensive and innovative facility for cardiac care in the San Gabriel Valley,” Huntington Hospital said in a written statement. “From research and diagnosis to treatment and recovery, the center’s wide range of cardio­vascular services — along with the latest medical technologies — are all brought together under one roof.”

Huntington Hospital President and CEO Dr. Lori J. Morgan said she was excited about the benefits the new facility brought to the hospital’s cardiac care capabilities.

“The Helen and Will Webster Heart & Vascular Center provides the potential to revolutionize the way we treat patients by integrating traditional cardiac surgery with endovascular surgery techniques and technology, further bridging the best of today with the latest advances of the future,” she said.

“The opening of this facility is a momentous accomplishment made possible by hard work, careful preparation, and a shared commitment to providing our patients leading-edge heart care,” Morgan added. “I’m incredibly proud of our project team, drawn from all areas of the hospital, and thankful for the generous support of community philanthropists who made this dynamic new cardiac care facility possible.”

The center offers a “full spectrum of cardiology services,” including tests and screenings, advanced medical and surgical treatments, cardiac rehabilitation and education programs, according to the hospital.

The “latest medical technologies and treatment” and “minimally invasive surgical options” are offered at the center, such as the new minimally invasive transcatheter aortic valve replacement, according to the statement. “[It] reduces time to treatment for cardiac patients and allows the hospital to increase the number of patients treated by 30%.”

The Helen and Will Webster Heart & Vascular Center is located directly above the hospital’s Nan and Howard Schow Emergency & Trauma Center.
