This July, Kidspace Children’s Museum officially welcomed Elizabeth Dubeck and Kevin Kohorst as the newest members of its Board of Directors. Ms. Dubeck is a Los Angeles Based Counsel with O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Mr. Kohorst is an Asset Manager with Everest Properties in Pasadena. With the addition of Ms. Dubeck and Mr. Kohorst the Board increases to 21 members. This year also saw the addition of Andre Cronthal, Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP, to the Kidspace Board.

Elizabeth Dubeck is a counsel in O’Melveny & Myers’ Los Angeles office and a member of the Project Development and Real Estate Practice. Her practice focuses on public-private partnerships, project finance, and real estate. Ms. Dubeck has represented both public and private project sponsors, developers and investors in public-private partnership transactions involving transportation infrastructure assets, including seaports, airports and rail facilities. She has also represented project sponsors in the financing of infrastructure and related projects. Ms. Dubeck has represented developers, investors, and lenders in the acquisition, development, sale, and financing of real estate assets.

“It is a privilege to be able to help chart the course of an organization that is dedicated to the betterment of all children,” said Ms. Dubeck, “I am looking forward to seeing how Kidspace continues to inspire children and caregivers alike with its innovative exhibits and unique experiences.”
Kevin Kohorst joined Everest Properties in 2012. Prior to joining Everest, he worked for Inter-Con Security as an Operations Manager for their California location. He has also worked as an Account Manager for Equator Financial Solutions, which provided software for financial institutions to manage their REO portfolios, and as a Police Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department.

“As a parent, I am excited to be working with an organization that is such a well respected leader in the field of informal education,” said Mr. Kohorst, “it is truly an honor to be a part of an organization that has made such an amazing impact on so many people over the last three and half decades.”

Kidspace Children’s Museum welcomes Ms. Dubeck and Mr. Kohorst prior to the beginning of construction on its newest experience, Arroyo Adventure, set to open to the public Spring 2016. This latest enhancement to the existing Kidspace Gardens is the fourth exhibit experience to be funded by The Campaign for the Future of Kidspace, a $13 million capital campaign announced in May of 2012, to build new exhibits, upgrade existing learning environments, improve guest amenities, and develop new curriculum and programs.
