Lake Avenue Church: The Concert for Wild Hope of Africa – May 11

Join Lake Avenue Church for an incredible night of music to benefit and Empower the Maasai Families and artisans of Wild Hope Ministries in Tanzania. Featuring Tommy Walker and the Christian Assembly Worship Band, LAC Orchestra & Choir, Christian Assembly’s Generations Choir, Ingrid Chun and the Maasai Artisans from Tanzania. The concert will be held at the Lake Avenue Church,  Friday, May  11 at 7:00 p.m.

Proceeds from any free-will offering will support, clean water pumps, Micro-finance loans, Schools and educational development, Christian leadership development and Church empowerment. Free childcare available for infants to 5-year-olds. The concert is free and no registration required. This concert is a Kingdom Partnership of Lake Avenue Church, Pasadena and Christian Assembly Church, Eagle Rock.

Wild Hope is a non-profit 501©(3) organization that began in 2004 thru the efforts of Peter and Tammy Russell. Planting their base in Arusha, Tanzania in 2005, and joined two years later by Byron and Lisa Borden, the organization has brought a multi-level ministry that strives to bring, “Transformation and Hope,” to the local people in East Africa thru leadership development, income generation, educational assistance, sports outreach and discipleship. Tommy Walker is a musician who has travelled around the globe to places like Singapore, Guatemala, Brazil and Japan for worship concerts and outreaches. He has penned over 100 songs that are heard worldwide – songs such as “He Knows My Name,” “That’s Why We Praise Him,” “Mourning Into Dancing,” and “I Have a Hope.” Tommy has also recorded with Maranatha!
