Norma Blunt, who co-owns the Larchmont Village Jewelers with her husband Ralph, is one of leading expert dealers at Pasadena Antiques & Design. Indeed, Ralph’s passion in art and Norma’s interest in jewelry have created a positive synergy between the husband and wife tandem that made their store one of the most trusted shops in Pasadena when you are looking for antiques and jewelry.

“One is in love with history,” Norma said referring to her husband and added, “while the other values quality. In any type of antiques and no matter what era, you learn about history. Whether it’s a piece of furniture or art work, you look at the object and it teaches you history. But the wonderful thing is, it doesn’t have to be valuable. you can look at $10 item and understand its history.”

Larchmont Village Jewelers (originally known as Hobin & Blunt) was located in the heart of Hancock Park on the inviting and vibrant Larchmont Boulevard. Charming, trendy shops and restaurants line this pedestrian-filled, pet-friendly street.  But the store recently moved to the City of the Roses, Pasadena at 690 East Colorado Blvd.

Norma said she has always been a jewelry dealer by profession. After their first visit, she and her husband decided to become dealers at Pasadena Antiques & Design with all of her jewelry.

“We saw an opportunity to sell them ourselves [at Pasadena Antiques & Design]. Our jewelry are all high quality and we consider the market here to be on top. So I came out of my semi-retirement. That’s how we end up here,” Norma said describing their decision to be dealers at Pasadena Antiques & Design.

She continued, “I love the people here and I love Pasadena. It has been quite a wonderful experience since we opened our shop at Pasadena Antiques & Design. I get to see my customers personally at the store when they visit. And they call me when they have occasions that they need jewelry.”

Norma and Ralph sell a wide variety of antiques and jewelry at Pasadena Antiques & Design from fifth century antiques and many other eras. “We sell antiques that people are looking for. We are old fashioned antique and art dealers that sell everything that is wonderful to our customers. Other dealers in the center have special styles that are unique to their own. There are dealers who specialize in a certain era. We are all professional and we all have knowledge and integrity [in our trade].
