Leadership Pasadena Graduates New Leaders for the Community

In the midst of COVID 19, Leadership Pasadena completed the Class or 2020 online and 22 new leaders are ready to help Pasadena rebuild and recover.

Leadership Pasadena is for those wanting to be a leader in greater Pasadena’s future. Leadership Pasadena alumni are leaders in government, non-profits, educational institutions, and business leading the community right now through this crisis and the Class of 2020 will follow in their footsteps.

“We can not celebrate the Class of 2020’s graduation just yet but we will honor them when safe to do so and thank then for their important community service projects this year!” explained LP Board Chair Josh Driskell.

“Congratulations to Class of 2020 graduates Paulette Banuelos, Nicole Bernard, Steven Butler, Ludia Chae-Zerrudo, Stephanie Chang, Vicki Chiu, Katie Clark, Cindy Clark-Schnuelle, Elizabeth Eichhorn, Adrienne Englert, Jouslynn Griffin, Greg Kwolek, Anne Lee, JD Loverensky, Veronica Mireles, Christine Morton and Crys O’Grady. Morgan Outzen, Trenton Ross, Mandip Samra, Aaron Wheeler and Victoria Williams,” said Cindy Bengtson, Exec Mgmt Consultant with LP. “This is a class of determined and talented individuals who will make an impact on our community—and soon!”

LP thanks Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, the City of Pasadena, the ArtCenter College of Design, Walden School, Caltech, Bluebeam, Inc, and the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena for sponsoring one of their rising leaders through LP.

According to class participant Vicki Chiu, “My Leadership Pasadena class wrapped up this week via Zoom. I’m going to miss my LP class and each opportunity to learn and grow with 21 of the most incredible people and the best coach! It has been awesome and transformative like everyone said it would be.

One thing I’ll continue to do is look at how my programming affects the way I think and act. Maybe our individual acts can stem greater change.

LP helped me become a better version of myself in a series of micro avalanches. It’s the only way I can describe it. I didn’t even know the impact of the class while it was happening but I’m grateful for the changes that I get to walk away with. At my core, I am still the same person and the class revealed what was already there and needed to be teased out. I’m so grateful to my classmates as well. I learned so much from my LP family and without them the learning process would not have been as effective. Having the perspectives of others makes the LP experience incredibly special.”

Leadership Pasadena will continue to serve Pasadena by rising up more exceptional, resilient leaders to help us rebuild after COVID 19. New classes will begin in January 2021.
